BrAInwave Hackathon Recap: 600+ Participants, One Mission
SCAILE co-organized the BrAInwave hackathon, bringing together over 600 participants for one of the most energetic AI community events of early 2026.

600 Builders, One Room
The BrAInwave hackathon brought together more than 600 participants for an intensive day of building, learning, and pushing the boundaries of what AI can do. SCAILE was proud to co-organize this event as part of its ongoing commitment to growing the AI community.
The energy in the room was electric. Developers, designers, product managers, and AI enthusiasts gathered from across the region to collaborate on projects that ranged from AI-powered search tools to generative content platforms.
What Made BrAInwave Special
Scale and Diversity
With over 600 participants, BrAInwave was one of the largest AI hackathons in the region. The diversity of backgrounds was striking - university students worked alongside senior engineers, and first-time hackers teamed up with seasoned founders.
Real Problems, Real Solutions
Unlike hackathons that reward flashy demos, BrAInwave encouraged participants to tackle genuine problems. Teams focused on practical applications of AI, including:
- AI-driven content optimization for small businesses struggling to appear in modern search
- Multilingual AI assistants designed for underserved language markets
- Automated data pipelines that help non-technical teams leverage AI insights
- AI visibility auditing tools that measure brand presence across AI platforms
Community Over Competition
While prizes were awarded, the atmosphere was collaborative rather than cutthroat. Mentors circulated throughout the venue, offering guidance and connecting participants with relevant expertise. Several teams formed lasting partnerships that extended well beyond the event.
SCAILE's Role
SCAILE's involvement went beyond co-organizing logistics. The team contributed mentors, shared insights on AI visibility as an emerging discipline, and engaged directly with participants who were curious about how brands can optimize their presence in AI-generated responses.
For Federico and Simon, the hackathon reinforced a core belief: the AI ecosystem grows stronger when companies invest in community, not just products.
The Results
The winning projects demonstrated remarkable ingenuity under time pressure. Judges praised the practical focus of the submissions and the high quality of the technical implementations across the board.
Looking Forward
BrAInwave proved that the appetite for hands-on AI events is enormous. SCAILE plans to continue supporting community-driven initiatives throughout 2026, with more hackathons, meetups, and collaborative events on the horizon. Building an AI company means building the community around it.
